Description
complex and nicely balanced finish
This is a Latricières of lace and grace yet the supporting tannins are fine but dense and should have no trouble seeing this through an extended aging curve
the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul is even riper and more concentrated
anise plus a note of hoisin complements well the rich
Gerard Mugneret, Vosne Romanee Suchots Vintage:2016 complex and nicely balanced finish(from 40+ year old vines). There is just enough reduction to hide all but subtle floral and spice wisps. The round, delicious and velvet textured middle weight plus flavors manage to retain a lovely sense of both detail and energy, all wrapped in a refined and again youthfully austere finish. This is also really lovely and very Suchots in character and in contrast to the Brles, a wine that should be reasonably approachable in its youth. (90 93) 2026+
